Douglas squeezed his eyes shut in an attempt to concentrate on the many questions brought into being from the situation he found himself ...

"Come with me if you want to live, pet", he had said. Annie had not gone with him. Her brain had worked swiftly and she had ration...
What goes in the blue bin? And, Hazel has nicked my jaunty hairband!

Or is that her hair? The perils of tiny screens.

Hang on, I'll go and ask the maid.
ReplyDeleteAll types of plastics, glass jars rinsed and tin cans emptied and rinsed, paper and cardboard, but not crisp packets.
ReplyDeleteYou get a whole wheelie bin for glass etc!! We have a black box, green box, brown bag, and green bag in Devon, we have to separate all of it. It's very complicated here.

How do you use the bags? It sounds complicated. My mother has a slop bucket, can you imagine that? any left over food, tea bags etc is suppose to go in the bucket, and when its full you empty it in the brown bin, it's never been used, she stores her tablets in it, any left over food gets tipped down the toilet.
DeleteI forgot to mention the slop bucket, we have that too. I am quite good with the recycling. No food down the loo as I have a septic tank, though a few bits of dead animal would keep the bacteria happy!

She'd stand a better chance if she was wearing more latex. No one will touch her without her marigolds on.
ReplyDeleteWe have one bin for all our recycling too.
Or failing that a Hazmat suit.
DeleteI don't have much for our bins. But The Man always says he can tell when it's ours being emptied on account of all the bottles!I say they are empty marmalade jars.
ReplyDeleteI am reminded of this, Dinah. And our dear, departed LX's fabulous retort a bit further down!
DeleteOh, lordy! That's trip down a dark alley.Old-style blogging, with myriad links to lead readers further astray.
DeleteThe corks from your 'marmalade' can be cut in half and used to lag the inside of your wheelie bin, reducing noise.
DeleteThose tights look a tad slippery - Are they wipe clean, perchance?
ReplyDeleteYes!
DeleteI was going to comment on the slippery tights, I see someone beat me to it! Blue Bin Day is my Favorite... I always Imagine I'm Saving the Planet... even tho' the Kiddos tell me I'm doing it all Wrong since they claim I'm supposed to CLEAN the garbage before I put it in there... just WTF, that's like CLEAN dirt, No?
