Could this blog become a place where we just write about anything? Not just a continuous story but maybe just things that are on our minds. Fact or fiction. Story or no story? Just a creative place to add whatever we like? Just a thought.
Writing through the pandemic... A collaboration of bloggers from across the globe writing a continuous yarn, post by post.

My favourite Christmas adverts this year. Any other favourites?

Douglas squeezed his eyes shut in an attempt to concentrate on the many questions brought into being from the situation he found himself ...

"Come with me if you want to live, pet", he had said. Annie had not gone with him. Her brain had worked swiftly and she had ration...
Funny you should ask this, Joey, as I was thinking the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI shall put a post up later and see what happens, it'd be nice to have a collaborative blog on the go from a fairly diverse group of people.

Also, as I know both my daughters read my blog, I feel very limited in what I can now write there, whereas here I would feel a little more relaxed about what I can and can't say.
ReplyDeleteYes, I know what you mean - my blog has a certain vibe to it, and I'm not always inclined to write what I really feel - for example, sometimes I'd like to write one sentence along the lines of: I'm feeling rubbish - with a Youtube. I don't know why I don't. Or sometimes I read a quote in a book and I really want to share that, but I don't particularly want to say anything about it. AND, sometimes I just want to ask a stupid question.... or say something that might not fit on my blog - I don't know how my blog became such a straightjacket!!? I guess I feel that every post on Wonky Words should be at least mildly entertaining.
ReplyDeleteSo yes, this could be a good dumping ground.

I hear you, and feel the same.
ReplyDeleteMe, too! I looked back into the dusty posts of IDV Past not too long ago, and realised that I used to sometimes publish one sentence posts, or just a video, or a question. Sometimes I'd like to return to that, so doing so here gets a bendy thumbs-up from me!
ReplyDeleteMr Devine - I too used to post one-liners. And who could forget Mr Beastie's two word post that simply read: I'm bored. He got over 100 comments on that post!

Haha I'm convinced the the longer the post the less people comment.
ReplyDeleteJoey - That's my experience too!!
